Taiwan Hotel Prices Up, Occupancy DownBy Jason A. Martin on May 30th, 2007
According to the Directorate General of the Budget, Accounting and Statistics, prices for a night’s stay at a Taiwan hotel rose by about $4 this year when compared to last year. Unfortunately, the occupancy rate is suffering. In a bit of irony, the occupancy rate is down 4 percent, which is almost the exact increase of the rates this year. Occupancy rates in Taiwan range in the mid 60s. International tourists can expect to pay an average of $97 USD per night. There is a boom in guest houses and rooms in Taiwan.
