Korea Adds 24/7 Hotline to Aid TravelersBy Jason A. Martin on November 3rd, 2006
Traveling to a foreign country when you don’t know the language can be frustrating—or even frightening. The Korean Tourism Organization has created a 24/7 hotline to aid travelers. The hotline number is (02) 1330. The new hotline is available in three main languages—English, Chinese and Japanese. Callers can get information on destinations, accommodations, restaurants, and transportation. The language of the operators is very good. Korean Tourism Organization service team director Kim Young-ju said, “Most of the service staff have an interpreter’s certificate for tourism.” For those wishing to call from outside of Korea, the number is 82-2-1330.
